You too can have Madonna's bunny ears

Yes, you too can own your very own Louis Vuitton bunny ears like the ones Madonna wore last night to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala!
Sorta.
A modified version of the Marc Jacobs-designed accessory will hit stores this fall, according to a rep for the French luxury fashion house. 'They will be much, much smaller, and the bunny ears will be attached to a headband,' the rep says.
The silk ears will be offered in black only. A price has not been set yet.
So where did Madge find the wacky headpiece?
The original bunny ears made their catwalk debut in March at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 show at the Louvre in Paris. No word if Madonna will be sportin' any in her upcoming ad campaign for LV.
While Madge's ensemble last night may not be getting the best reviews, there's at least one style trendsetter in New York who's giving the music queen props for daring to be different. 'Loved it,' exclaims Simon Doonan, creative guru at Barneys New York and author of Eccentric Glamour. 'This is a great era for glamorous eccentricity. People are bored with glamour gowns.'
Doonan goes on to say, 'The ultraconventional glamour-gown look? That's so last century, dahling! Think Lady Gaga!'
Madonna and her bunny ears were seen after the gala at Jacobs' afterparty at Monkey Bar, according to WWD.

Madonna to design for Christian Audigier's Ed Hardy line

Christian Audigier is no stranger to the power of celebrity when it comes to marketing his clothes.
And while stars including Britney Spears, Heidi Klum and Nicollette Sheridan have been snapped in pieces from his Ed Hardy fashion line, the French designer has reportedly called on the pulling power of one of the world's most iconic women, Madonna.
The 50-year-old Material Girl is said to have jumped at the opportunity to work on a trendy new range for the tattoo-inspired fashion label when she was approached by Christian, who's designing an outfit for Michael Jackson's upcoming tour.
Following her foray into fashion design with H&M the stylish singer has been offered six-figure deal to design a special collection that will include tattoo-inspired T-shirts and diamante-encrusted bodices, the Daily Mirror reports.

Arianne Phillips refreshing looks for the tour

Madonna's stylist Arianne Phillips is interviewed by W magazine about the Blame It On Rio portfolio and what she has planned for this year:

The black zippered dress is so prominent in the story. What made you choose it and what did its designer (Victoria Beckham) have to do with it, if anything?
I initially chose this dress for the classic 50s-60s slim silhouette, which was what I was after for our story. I was also intrigued since it is from Beckham's debut collection - I liked the 'story' of one pop star to another. And I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the dress. The fabrication, details and fit are very well thought out.

What's up next for you?
I designed the costumes for Tom Ford's directorial debut, A Single Man, starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, which is forthcoming this fall. Right now I'm helping refurbish and create some new looks for Madonna's summer tour extension and I'm getting ready to attend the women's collections in Paris.

Madonna is new face for Marc Jacobs at Vuitton

Madonna in provocative pose is to embody the latest collection designed by US stylist Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, the French luxury house said Thursday.
Dressed in little but mesh stockings and head-spinningly high stilettos in the first pictures released, the diva of pop represents the designer's 'vision of the quintessential Parisienne' embodied in his 2009 spring-summer ready-to-wear collection for Louis Vuitton unveiled in October.
'I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric,' Jacobs was quoted as saying in a statement.
'To carry this off,' he added, 'we needed the ultimate performer - and for me, that is Madonna.'
Photographed in a smoky Paris 1940s-style bar touting the latest Vuitton 'it' bags, the just-divorced 50-year-old is shown striking provocative poses in very very short skirts and ethnic-inspired footwear and jewels.
The advertising campaign is to launch next February worldwide.

Vuitton pay Madonna $10m to star in ad campaign

Madonna is being paid handsomely to be the new face of Louis Vuitton's 2009 marketing campaign. The pop queen is raking in $10 million for her modeling gig, sources told Page Six. And, despite online buzz that the shoot would be done by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, WWD reports the nod went to legendary Steven Meisel, who did Madonna's notorious 1992 book, 'Sex.' Madonna was seen last weekend cozying up with Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, discussing the clothing. Madonna's rep declined to comment.

Vuitton's Best Star Ever?

Is Madonna about to follow in the footsteps of Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson, and Uma Thurman? According to tipsters, the Material Divorcée will be the face of Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2009 campaign and has already been shot by photo wonder duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. If true, it probably means the soon-to-be-single superstar is aiming to prove that old adage: Photographing well is the best revenge.

Madonna's new look

Newsflash: Madonna has of late been seen out more often than not in her regulation Adidas tracksuits, dark shades and neglected roots.
However, she wowed us on the red carpet this weekend as she and husband Guy Richie hosted a screening of his movie Revolver in New York.
Dressed in Dolce and Gabbana it seems her Madgesty has had a new hair do. A glossy polished 1920's flapper inspired, girlie curly bob that we just love. We don't see Madonna dress up a lot anymore....but when she does she still gets it really right.
We suggest you steal her style, bin your GHD's and give this look a try this Christmas party season.
