4 Minutes sold 37,874 units last week passing the 2 million mark. The total US Digital Sales now stands at 2,011,160.

Madonna is the Queen of the European charts

Pop superstar Madonna continues to reign supreme over the European charts - her single 4 Minutes and album Hard Candy are at number one for the third week running.
The singer's Justin Timberlake collaboration 4 Minutes has now been atop the European singles chart for five weeks, while Hard Candy has been the continent's most popular disc for the last three.

4 Minutes is 5th most played in USA

This morning Allaccess.com/Mediabase the leading radio monitor in America is reporting that '4 Minutes' is now the 5th most played song in the United States!
The track is getting 6458 spins a week! Unfortunately this may be the peak the song only grew by +100 spins whereas the 4th most played song is getting 7463 spins and grew by +691 spins!
Nevertheless '4 Minutes' is doing incredibly well in the United States. Remember that this is Madonna's most played song since 'Die Another Day' 6 years ago!

4 Minutes added to 27 weeks spent at chart summit

Half of Madonna’s 12 previous number one singles spent a single week at number one but 4 Minutes has no intention of surrendering its title yet, and on its second week at the chart summit it moves further ahead of the chasing pack, securing sales of 49,771 copies following its release on CD.
Madonna’s one week wonders: True Blue, Who’s That Girl, Frozen, American Pie, Music and Sorry. Those that stuck around longer: Into The Groove, Papa Don’t Preach, La Isla Bonita, Like A Prayer, Vogue and Hung Up. All told, Madonna has spent 27 weeks at number one, the same as Take That. The only acts with more weeks at number one are Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Cliff Richard, Frankie Laine and Abba.

Madonna retains top spot in British singles charts

Pop diva Madonna held on to the top spot in the British singles charts released Sunday for the second week running with her record 13th number one.
Her new track, '4 Minutes', which features Justin Timberlake, is part of her latest album, 'Hard Candy', released a month ago, and was followed by Sam Sparro's 'Black & Gold' and Estelle's 'American Boy', featuring Kanye West, in second and third respectively.
The 49-year-old's 13 British chart-topping singles nearly double those of the next closest female solo artist, Kylie Minogue, who has seven.

Verizon Wireless says that it has secured an exclusive agreement in the USA to offer mobile downloads of a new song from Madonna, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. Available exclusively in the U.S. to Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music customers and internationally to Vodafone customers, '4 Minutes' is the first single from Madonna's 11th studio album for Warner Bros. Records.
Starting today, the underground version of the song is available to Verizon Wireless customers through V CAST Music as a full-song download, ringtone and ringback tone.

4 Minute holds steady at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and on other Billboard charts Madonna is doing quite well also:

As you can see 4 Minutes is the #1 selling digital track, up 1 spot from last week. It sold 216,751 that's barely a decrease from last week. Total sales to date is 446,345.
Despite having only about 1/4 of the radio airplay audience of Mariah's Touch My Body, 4 Minutes is outselling it's sales this week. In the US songs that sell over 200k digital units in a week is considered a huge deal and accomplishment. Madonna's radio airplay audience is #12 with enormous room for growth, so please keep requesting the track to help expand airplay audience size thus making it one of the most played songs in the coming weeks. Make no mistake 4 Minutes is performing very well in the US and is Madonna's biggest Single in the US in 8 years!

Liz Smith: 4 Minutes is firecracker hot

On April 28, Madonna's final album for Warner Records - her home base for 25 years - debuts. The first single, a duet with Justin Timberlake titled '4 Minutes,' has rocketed up the Top 40 Countdown meter faster than any song in the chart's 38-year history. It is No. 1 on iTunes. Perhaps most significantly, Ellen DeGeneres shimmies to it every day on her TV show. (Ellen now equals Oprah in shaping cultural cravings. If either of these women says, 'Buy i! Love it!' - millions do.)
So Madonna's swan song for Warner might be her biggest hit ever. The '4 Minutes' video features Madonna - relentlessly athletic, and Justin, effortlessly limber - dancing up a storm.
We've heard some snarky comments about Justin 'making music with his mommy' but in the video, there seems to be hardly a year between them. She will be 50 in August; he is 26. You'd never know that Madonna could, chronologically, be his mother, watching the pair bump and grind in '4 Minutes.' (Madonna is toned to the max; a disciplined life is not to be despised!)

UK Midweeks: 4 Minutes

After a fall in the UK single charts from #5 to #8 for 4 Minutes on Sunday - the UK midweek sales figures show that Madonna's single is climbing again - probably due to the download figures from the video release.

The single is now back up to #4 on the midweek charts with sales of 6,063.

4 Minutes Continues to make Canadian Chart History

Madonna has done it again. Nielsen Soundscan, the firm that measures actual sales of music in North America, has revealed today that '4 Minutes', the first single from Madonna's forthcoming Album, Hard Candy has debuted at #1 on the Digital Track Sales Chart with the highest one week total sales since the establishment of the chart in 2005.
This follows the news a week ago that '4 Minutes' became the first single to debut at #1 on the CHR chart in the history of the BDS in Canada.

Madonna breaks Elvis' Billboard record

Elvis Presley will also be nudged from his standing as the artist with the most top 10s in the rock era, as Madonna surpasses him with her 37th top 10, '4 Minutes.' The track, which features Justin Timberlake, clocks a #68-#3 jump on this morning's preliminary chart. Previous to the establishment of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1958, the industry standard chart was the Best Sellers in Stores tally, where Presley scored his first 12 top 10s.
Madonna's Hot 100 jump is spurred by stupendous download sales. '4 Minutes' shifts 217,000 in its first week of wide release (it had been available as a Verizon exclusive) to enter Hot Digital Songs at #2.
