'Remember when....I was allowed to be a visionary?'

On Friday, Guy Oseary shared a post to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Madonnaโ€™s seminal album, โ€˜Ray Of Lightโ€™, noting:

'Love this woman. Love this album. One day she will hopefully do a tour for this album. It deserves to be performed from start to finish... respect to [music producer, William Orbit] for his brilliant work on this album... also two groundbreaking videos [โ€˜Frozenโ€™] by Chris Cunningham and [title track, โ€˜Ray Of Lightโ€™] by my dear friend [Jonas Akerlund]. Those were really fun times.'

Two days later, Madonna shared some comments on the post, which revealed things werenโ€™t going so well behind the scenes of her latest musical offering.

Apparently comparing her current work with the making of โ€˜Ray Of Lightโ€™, she fumed: 'Remember when I made records with other artists from beginning to end and I was allowed to be a visionary and not have to go to song writing camps where no one can sit still for more than 15 minutes....'

She also joked to her manager: 'Can you help me now please!!'

Throughout her career, Madonna has notably worked with only one or two producers on each of her albums, such as Stuart Price on โ€˜Confessions On A Dance Floorโ€™, William Orbit on โ€˜Ray Of Lightโ€™ and, more recently, โ€˜MDNAโ€™ or Patrick Leonard on โ€˜Like A Prayerโ€™.

Her most recent collection, โ€˜Rebel Heartโ€™, featured a much more eclectic mix of collaborators, though the majority of tracks saw either Diplo or Avicii listed as co-producers, among several others.

Groundbreaking ceremony for new schools excites Madonna

United States pop star Madonna has expressed her excitement following the groundbreaking ceremony for four new schools she plans to build in the country.

Writing on her official Facebook account, Madonna said she is excited for the new four schools that will be built in Kasungu.

'So exciting! Ground breaking ceremony in Kasungu district in Malawi. Building four more schools,' Madonna said.

Madonna fell in love with the country as she has been helping in various sectors like health and education.

The US Pop Star is doing the job through Raising Malawi. Founded in 2006 by Madonna, Raising Malawiโ€™s mission is to bring an end to the extreme poverty and hardship endured by Malawiโ€™s orphans and vulnerable children.

Raising Malawi supports community-based organizations that provide these children and their caregivers with critical resources including food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, and psychosocial support.

Raising Malawi has recently expanded upon its long-standing support to the paediatric surgery program at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital by building the countryโ€™s first paediatric surgery and intensive care unit, The Mercy James Centre for Paediatric Surgery and Intensive Care.

Madonna has four children adopted from Malawi namely David Banda, Mercy James and the twins Estere and Stella.

What Gianni Versace's Death Tells Us About Madonna's 'Ray Of Light' Renaissance

'Traveling, traveling / In the arms of unconsciousness,' Madonna cooed on the Bjรถrk-assisted single 'Bedtime Story,' released in 1995. Overexposed and castigated after the ruckus surrounding 'Erotica' and the carnal coffee-table book Sex, sheโ€™d forged a reverie about disconnecting from reality. 'Today is the last day that Iโ€™m using words / Theyโ€™ve gone out, lost their meaning.'

But by 1998, Madonna had awoken again. On 'Sky Fits Heaven,' the seventh track from the enlightened electro-rock masterpiece 'Ray of Light,' she repeated a familiar phrase - except here it ended on an upbeat: 'Traveling, traveling / Watching the signs as I go.' This time, pop musicโ€™s doyenne of reinvention was anything but unconscious.

Her footpath from the 'Bedtime Story' era to 'Ray of Light,' which turns 20 on Feb. 22, places Madonna at the nexus of celebrity culture circa 1997 (when she spent five months writing and recording the album) and early 1998 (when she released and promoted the album, which went on to win three Grammys and six MTV Video Music Awards). Nearing 40 and competing with a fresh generation of A&R-packaged teenyboppers, Madonna had risked aging out of mainstream stardom, one of the many sectors of society that isnโ€™t kind to mature women. Instead, the ambient fizzes and mystical flurries on 'Ray of Light' formed a cutting-edge benediction that rehabilitated Madonnaโ€™s image - a coup few legacy acts could hope for today. She was a new mother, animated by Kabbalah and Ashtanga yoga, but uninterested in maternity leave.

Madonnaโ€™s late โ€™90s eminence can be further distilled through one morsel about the creation of 'Ray of Light,' her seventh studio disc: On July 15, 1997, the day she recorded the gritty meditation 'Swim,' Donatella Versace called Madonna to report that her brother Gianni had been shot outside his Miami mansion.

William Orbit, the English producer who helped shape 'Ray of Light,' has related this anecdote at least twice. The first time was in 1998, during an interview with Music Week.

'The day she [recorded โ€˜Swimโ€™] she got a call on the way to the studio that her next-door neighbor Versace had been murdered,' he said. 'Lyrically it was written before that, but it is topical.'

Madonna: 'My son is Malawi's future president'

Pop star Madonna has called her son, David Banda, 'the future president of Malawi' in a tweet praising the 12-year-old adopted from that country.

The US singer has six children, four of whom she adopted from Malawi.

Madonna has reportedly had a fractious relationship with authorities from the south-east African nation.

In 2013, Malawi accused Madonna of 'bullying state officials' , exaggerating her contribution to the country and demanding VIP treatment.

Madonna's manager accused Malawi's government of having a "grudge" against the singer's charity, Raising Malawi, which she founded in 2006, the same year she adopted David.

David Banda is the oldest of four adopted children.

His adoption raised a strong public reaction as Malawian law required would-be parents to live in the country for one year before adopting. This requirement was waived for the pop star, who told Oprah Winfrey at the time that there were no written adoption laws that regulated foreign adoption.

In 2009, the country's high court rejected Madonna's application to adopt a girl, on the same grounds she had not lived in the African nation for the now required 18 months.

When Serayah McNeill isnโ€™t singing and acting on the hit show Empire, she makes time for a little modeling.
