Madonna is given 'backstage ban' after tweeting during show
Tuesday, 21 April 2015
The Queen of Pop had attended the evening performance of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s acclaimed off-Broadway musical Hamilton, but was not invited to meet the cast afterwards because she kept using her phone during the show, reported Playbill.com.
Lin-Manuel tweeted a post, which was later deleted: 'Tonight was the first time I asked stage management NOT to allow a celebrity (who was texting all through Act 2) backstage. #noselfieforyou.'
A source told Playbill.com that the singer arrived late to the performance at The Public Theatre’s Newman Theatre, and was seen using her phone throughout the first and second acts.
The Emmy-winning actor is well-known for taking celebrities, including First Lady Michelle Obama, backstage for a post-show picture with the cast.
Madonna has not mentioned the snub or referred to the show on Twitter.
This isn’t the first time the Grammy-winning singer has been in trouble over her phone etiquette.
She was banned from Alamo Drafthouse cinemas in October 2013, after reports that she was texting during a New York Film Festival screening of 12 Years A Slave.

"Oh, Vadge!"
I totally agree, Jeffery.
Madonna will be the first person to say that she doesn't give a fuck!
Hahahaha.

thanks Sharon. It is really sad that some people think this behavior is ok. Maybe I will just sit down in my front row seat at the concert and text away. Nah, can't do it. I'm going to be having too much fun at the concert! Just wanted to make a point. Can't wait for september!

Its always nice to Ass-ume Jeffrey. We don't really know the whole story and the truth

Jeffrey, I agree. Madonna abhors people doing this during her shows. She's commented on people being on their Blackberrys during a Vegas show once. She should definitely know better.
I can understand the sex antics and rallying against ageism, but this is just plain old rude.
Watch it, girl, what goes around comes around!

Well remeber the ¨I´m going to tell you a secret¨era, when she mentioned that people were using their blackberries while she was singing a song. I think in these times everybody does good a bad things and nobodys says anything, but when Madonna does everybodys complains. So, it´s ACCEPTABLE!

I wonder how she would feel if someone was doing the same thing during one of her shows? It is UNACCEPTABLE behavior no matter how famous you are.
