Fallen Madonna 'fine' after tumble
Thursday, 26 February 2015
The star's red and black cloak was 'too tight' and made her fall over, she told her three million followers on Instagram.
Alongside a picture of the cloak that caused the embarrassing slip-up, Madonna wrote: 'Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! livingforlove.'
The Queen of Pop was closing the Brit Awards ceremony when the fall took place.
When her backing dancers tried to pull off her cloak, the artist was dragged backwards before falling to the floor with a bang.
The dancers, who were dressed as demons, looked on in shock before Madonna got back up and went on with the show.
Fans took to Twitter to show their support after Madonna's fall.
User Louise Houghton wrote: 'Big respect to Madonna BRITAwards for carrying on so professionally & giving an awesome performance. Please don't slate her.'
Melanie Redmond tweeted: 'Oh my god. Madonna. That fall. I feel so bad for you but you did sing about stumbling. And you really did more than that, you crash landed.'
Another wrote: 'I'm sweating with anxiety for the cape puller who will perish in the flames tonight.'

I was so shocked by this. Just cannot believe it happened. How could this happen?? They must have rehearsed it with the cape, no? Stunned. And have to say almost started crying seeing her fall like that, so fragile. She looked like she was made of air, and in one puff, fell. But I was also moved by the way she got up and continued. And people slate these powerful people, but at the same time their strength is amazing. I am in awe of the way she continued. ps: my cat later on that evening fell off the bed so I think there was definitely something in the air! I told her though: "it's ok, everybody falls sometimes, even Madonna!" :-)

she showed what a true performer she is by getting up and finishing the song (after I am sure quickly accessing that she wasn't injured) and proving to the world that she wasn't lip syncing, so take that Elton John. I am soooo glad that she wasn't hurt and I can't wait for the album!!!!! 2 more weeks! and there is a really cool Rebel Heart pull over hoodie that I just ordered from madonna.com. Let the Rebel Heart era begin!

the dancers are NOT "demons"... they are MINOTAURS!! from Ancient Cretan and Greek mythology!! UGH....stop with the demon/illuminati crap!!

I'm disappointed that you would comment that Madonna's back up dancers are "dressed like demons". They are dressed as bulls, and she is their Matador. There have been so many rumors and nonsense going about that her show is some; satanic, illuminati ritual and this surely isn't helping.
