Events: Desperately Seeking Susan Screening in Melbourne

Directed by Susan Seidelman, this classic 1985 movie set in New York stars Rosanna Arquette as Roberta Glass and Madonna, in her first feature film, as Susan.
We will also be screening the exclusive debut episode of Dr Madonna' a web series created by Melbourne-born, now Hollywood-based Richard Cotzabuyucas. To tie in with our screening, he has devoted his first episode to Desperately Seeking Susan.
The date of our screening is also no coincidence... It is Madonna's 56th Birthday!
In celebration, there will be music, there will also be a bunch of prizes for our raffle - including signed 8x10s from the beautiful / talented / very generous Rosanna Arquette!!
Don't be shy, come dressed up in 80s gear!! We want to see excessive necklaces, wrist accesories, rags in your hair, fishnet stockings, lacy gloves ... get into the spirit and get... Into the Groove!
FREE car parking at the venue. There's a Cafe and bar on site, serving all types of alcohol and snacks too.
Saturday 16th of August 2014 from 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start at The Backlot Studios, 65 Haig Street, Southbank.
Tickets: $15 Full / $12 Conc.
