Madonna joins boycott against Florida 'stand your ground' law
Tuesday, 23 July 2013
Artists joining Mr. Wonder reportedly include Rod Stewart, Madonna, Usher, Justin Timberlake, R. Kelly, Rihanna and Alicia Keys. Rappers Jay-Z, Kanye West, Trey Songz, Young Jeezy and Wale also signed on to the boycott, The Hill reported.
The 63-year-old Mr. Wonder said he would not be performing in Florida or any other state that recognizes 'stand your ground' laws, which some say contributed to George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
'I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again,' Mr. Wonder said July 14 while performing in Quebec City. 'As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.'
According to America Urban Radio’s April Ryan, several artists on the list already have canceled performances in the Sunshine State.
Zimmerman simply wasn't convicted. He's guilty as hell.

But she's about to release a 'live in Miami' DVD?
I know it uses footage from all over the place ... but it's pretty much shot in Florida!

Zimmerman may not be guilty of "violating" a florida law but he did kill an unarmed 17 year old! Wake up! being found not guilty according to the LAW does not negate the fact hat he killed someone!
He MURDERED someone THIS IS A FACT!!!! no spinning needed!
As for Madonna she ALSO sees the larger picture not the crap being fed to the mindless so good on her!

Rico:
"Madonna needs to quit with these causes"
-No she doesn't. In fact it's almost mandatory that she and people like her use their influence for positive change.
"She needs Focus on a new hit album"
-Why don't you write your own hit album, Rico? Or do you think your complete talentlessness would hinder that?!!
"all this bandwagon crap...Zimmerman is not guilty"
-And by inadvertently adding your opinion on Zimmerman, you stupidly got on the same 'bandwagon', you hypocritical fool.

The woman is going to be boycotting more than Florida if Stand Your Ground is a problem, doesn't have anything to do with Martin because Zimmerman's defense never cited in its case. Totally agreed Madonna needs to stop it with the circuses and start focusing on something she actually understands.

WTF? That's not the way a lot of the world sees his acquittal.
