Fan report from the Material Girl Pop-Up Exhibit

madonnalicious reader David shares his story and pictures from the Material Girl Pop-Up Exhibition of some of Madonna's iconic outfits at Macy's in Los Angeles last week:

As I expected there was a long line wrapped around Macy's with a lot of security. Fans dressed their best and some with memorabilia on hand ready for signatures from M. There were rumors and speculation as to whether or not she would show up...my feeling was 'no way and no how'...which ended up being the case but you never know.
People started pouring in around 6:30. Young girls in ‘Material Girl’ wear were moving / dancing around to the mixes the DJ was spinning and to Madonna videos playing in the background. Press, photographers, waiters passing sliver trays of sparkling pink lemonade and cake pops, a security guard posted at every glass case displaying one of M’s iconic outfits.
The scene wasn’t as chaotic as I had anticipated but it was busy and impressive to be up close to the small iconic outfits worn on Madonna’s tiny frame.

Madonna should have been there, she needs to connect with her fans more- especially at this phase in her career.
