Madonna gets son splashed on TV
Thursday, 25 October 2012
Madonna picked her own son Rocco to be drenched in water for charity.
The singer, 54, was asked who she'd like to to choose for the stunt, to raise cash for breast cancer research, on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
'I don't really have to think about it. My son is here here and I want him in that tank,' she said.
Madge told 12-year-old Rocco, whose dad is film director Guy Ritchie: 'You might never get wet, baby. I kind of suck at throwing.'
The pop queen failed to aim correctly in her attempt to splash Rocco, prompting Ellen to step in.
Rocco, who dances on stage during his mum's tour, told the audience that Madonna was 'a very good mother, but she's very strict' and asked what he thinks when she flashes herself on stage, he said: 'I actually don't see that.'
The stunt raised 10,000 dollars for the fight against breast cancer.

sorry Melvin, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Madonna has ALWAYS been political - for her entire 30 year career - if you didn't know that, you were never really a fan.
GOODBYE!

Andrea, re your comment on Parkinson, he has stated publicly that Madonna was one of his favourite guests to interview - gushed about her. So whatever re your comments on his not being happy etc.

HER OBAMA COMMENTS JUST TURNED ME OFF HER
MUSIC SHOULD NOT MIX WITH POLITICS THEREFORE
JUST SCRATCHED HER OFF MY MUSIC CHARTS
SORRY, Lots of people will stop buying her music due to her political views including me.

ngl: there is a very simple reason why it took so long for Parkinson to interview Madge. She refused to be interviewed until she knew the questions that were to be asked and Parky was not happy with that. Fact. No surprise as Madge always says she is a control freak.
I hate watching Madge be interviewed: she comes across as aloof, cold, condescending, detached and arrogant.

I've never heard Rocco speak before, but from what I've seen in this interview I'm very impressed! Rocco is a very polite, well spoken and humble young man- when Rocco comes out on stage Madonna appears even softer & she is clearly a proud parent, it's wonderful to see this side of Madonna. @jc- I agree, Madonna looks Very Beautiful in this interview.

The Madonna interview on Ellen looks great and it is terrific positive promotion for her LP etc- this should have taken place around the time when the album was released. Madonna is great in interviews- she is smart and engaging. Parky took years to land a Madonna interview, and thus he was very surprised at how great she was and he said he wondered why she had been so reluctant to appear. Anyway, looking forward to the full Ellen interview.
