@Advocate- It Kills me to say this, but you are exactly right about my remark not being an example of sexism! I'm just plain wrong- or as Madonna would probably say 'I was just being Ironic'!!

Honestly, how many people going to remember and be listening to the 'MDNA' LP in the years to come?? I still listen to 'True Blue' LP from 86, I can't be alone because the LP was remastered, and Madonna still performs various songs from it in her concerts till this very day. MDNA doesn't have many/any songs that are 'classic' or 'enduring'- this is stark contrast to previous LP's in her catalogue. I think MDNA is an album that partly is a 'victim of circumstances'- 1st release on a small new record label with limited funds for promotion, 1st LP in 4 years in which an astonishing number of new music stars have emerged, single mother to 4 kids...but maybe I'm just making excuses!!

"And as for your Lady Gaga presumption- you are clearly one of those people that thinks one can only like one female artist at a time- so you're Sexist too!

Whilst I agree with the overall tone of your post, the example you give does NOT represent sexism. It's a rather stupid example, if truth be said. Sorry.

"Um, it debuted at #1 around the world. It did it's job and was a huge success.
The End.

Umm, I think you mean it debuted IN SOME COUNTRIES at #1, or REACHED #1 in some countries. Not worldwide at all. Whilst it WAS a big success in terms of opening week sales to reach the summit in many territories, it did not achieve this in all:
Austria - #3
Denmark - #2
France - #2
Germany - #3
Japan - #4
New Zealand - #3
Norway - #2
Portugal - #2
Switzerland - #2
Still a magnificent achievement, but by no means universal (COADF had a far higher #1 strike rate).

@ Transparent- Your comment about me being an Aussie, which I am, is Racist! And we all know what Madonna thinks about racists!! And as for your Lady Gaga presumption- you are clearly one of those people that thinks one can only like one female artist at a time- so you're Sexist too! And we all know how Madonna feels about sexism!! I like and support a wide variety of female artists at the same time, always have and I always will. You criticize me for having negative jabs- then proceed to have an ignorant, racist, sexist, Negative jab yourself!!! Hypocrite Much!!! Did I have a point of view, oopps I didn't know I couldn't speak my mind...what was i thinking???

I love how ngl always laces his positive comments, with negative jabs. Obviously an Aussie or a Lady Goober/Xerox fan. lol

It is pleasing to see MDNA finally in the Billboard Top 100- but at 94 it is still a little early to start cracking open the champagne bottles!!! The MDNA Tour has a few months to go yet so I hope the LP does get into the Billboard top 20 again- this will all depend upon the scope and nature of Madonna's future "Ironic" moments!!!

more people are realizing just how good MDNA is
Are you joking ?

More great pics, thanks so much for sharing. MDNA has moved from number 140 last week on Billboards top 200 albums in US to number 94 this week, and from number 7 on the dance/electronics chart to number 3. The tour here in the states is obviously helping to boost sales as more people are realizing just how good MDNA is. Hopefully it can get back into the top 10.
