Madonna scores 41st No.1 Dance/Club Play Song!
Saturday, 17 March 2012
Madonna will achieve a record-extending 41st No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Club Play Songs chart next week as 'Give Me All Your Luvin' will jump 2-1 on the tally.
'Give Me All Your Luvin' will be No. 1 on the upcoming chart dated March 31 (posted to Billboard.com on March 22). The achievement also gives Madonna No. 1 Billboard singles in four consecutive decades: the ’80s, ’90s, ’00s and ’10s.
Madonna extends her lead for most No. 1s in the chart’s history, pulling further ahead of runner-up Janet Jackson, who has 19.
'Give Me All Your Luvin'' (featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.) is the first single from Madonna’s 'MDNA' album, due out March 26. It reaches the top of the chart courtesy of remixes by the likes of LMFAO , Nicky Romero and Laidback Luke.

I heard that ticket sales aren't going well in Hyde park too - although to be fair she has done over 20 shows in London since the Drowned world tour in 2001 - the demand maybe tiring - there's so many stadiums/outdoor places in countries she's never played in before that would sell out instantly (look at the success they've had for the Quecbec date for example) They probably should have posted a couple of nights at the O2 arena instead (similar to what they've done in Barcelona/Amsterdam, etc) & then get big shows advertised in new places, especially Asia/South Africa. I've seen her 5 times previously, most recently at the MEN in 2009, but still trying to decide what to do this time.

@ Fitsy: totally agree with you!
I also have been thinking the album will enter the UK charts (and possibly Billboard) for at Number 1, and then be totally out of the charts in a very short space of time. I fear - but hope I am wrong - that this would be an utter flop oif an album in terms of sales.
The sad truth of the matter is, now that M is locked into Live Nation, it's all about the tours (and the megabucks they bring in), and less and less about the music.
It's also very telling that tickets are STILL available from Ticketmaster for the ONE London concert. Rumour has it that sales are very disappointing...

Yaaaaawn! Its still not a Hot 100 number 1, dance charts mean nothing. And the way her terrible promotion in the UK is going, she wont be having a top 40 number 1 here either from the new album. I predict MDNA will hit number 1 for 1 week then fall from the top 10 quickly. I also predict that the singles will fail to reach the top 5, based on the lack of promotion here in the UK and shoddy availability of singles, remixes etc, i doubt they will even scrape the top 10. I mean why even bother to download that awful album version of Girls Gone Wild?! I thought it was a demo! It souless rubbish! Has no kick or life! The remix version posted on here, i thought that was THE version, my heart sank when i read it was a remix... We probarbly wont even get it in the UK! This era has left me feeling really frustrated and alienated as a Madonna fan, and it hasnt even started! Its terrible.
