The World's Most Powerful Celebrities

Once again Forbes.com have just published their annual list of The World's Most Powerful Celebrities - Madonna made #3 on the Celebrity 100 list.

Madonna ($110 million) banked the majority of her millions on the road. The Sticky & Sweet Tour rounded out 2008 as the year's top-grossing international tour, raking in $280 million across 17 countries.

#4 Beyonce Knowles
#5 Tiger Woods

Irrespective of how this is compiled, I find it very interesting that Beyonce appears below Madonna on the list. I remember a few years ago now when it was reported that Beyonce (even before she had gone solo!) would become a force to be reckoned with just like Madonna and this was mocked endlessly by some M fans on a forum at the time. Interesting that it is now being realised. Whether Beyonce is around in another 20 years will be a different matter, of course!

as always madonna is the number 1!!! she is 3 in the general list, but number 1 among singers but I shouldn't be surprised, should i???

I am shocked Angelina beat out Madonna and Oprah. I haven't seen her in a movie recently nor does she own multi- corparations. That doesn't make sense, but dont get me wrong I like Angelina.
