One of Salvatore Ferragamo’s most popular bags - the Sophia, was named after Hollywood icon Sophia Loren. Madonna, whose family originated from L’Aquila, Italy, has generously donated her framed python tote with signature Ferragamo Gancio closure.
Madonna has signed her bag for the lucky auction bidder and has included a personal note that reads: 'Enjoy the handbag! All my love, Madonna'.
i love madonna but what am i gonna do with the handbag. sit and stare at it?? its doesn't make me a relative or whatever. if i want something personal from madonna give me a good record. that's what i want. i don't care what you do with the money that you make off of me, including making me pay again for a handbag that i already paid for. thats retarded. make a good dance record. that's what i want.

Madonnas family did not originate from L'Aquila. Her fathers parents were from the town of Pacentro which is not far from L'Aquila.
