This candid never-before-seen shot of Madonna was taken at the side of stage during the Virgin Tour on Monday 15 April 1985, at the Paramount Theater. Madonna is seen peeking from behind her two Virgin Tour tour backing dancers.

I saw the first night of the Seattle shows at the Paramount. The final night I was walking down what was then an alley between the Paramount and the building next door and up pulled Madonna's limo dropping her off for the soundcheck. I told her how much I loved the show and she just looked at me and walked in the side stage door....

My god, if you look at Lola and this picture (in particular) of Madonna, you realize HOW MUCH Lola looks like her. Same eyes (different color), and they eyebrows! Wow! :)

I saw her 2nd show at The Paramount on April 10, 1985. I remember wearing a de riguer 80s outfit - baggy 20-pleat pants, suspenders, black lace-up boots and spiky hair. We had 4th row seats. A guy jumped on the stage from the first row, kissed her on the cheek while she sang "Like a Virgin," and dove off again before security could snag him.

Funny to think we were seeing pop history in the making.

Thanks for this fantastic pic! I live right up the the street from the Paramount Theatre and every now and then I realize that this was the first place the Queen of Pop performed live during a tour. :)

M did perform at the Parameount Theater in SEATTLE, but not on April 15! She was in Seattle form April 9 to 13, then the Virgin Tour moved to Portland on the 15th- so something's wrong with the info of this wonderful picture.

i didn't know she performed the virgin tour at the paramount theatre. i thought it was radio city music hall and madison square garden.
