World record smashed....all for Madonna!

Australian radio station Nova 919's pseudo-German Hans is a devoted Madonna fan and will do anything to get a personal birthday wish to the Queen of Pop. That 'anything' culminated in him breaking the Guinness World Record for Marathon Accordion playing last Thursday. Not only that, but he broke it by playing Madonna songs ONLY.
That was no mean feat as he was not allowed to repeat a song a four hour time block and he played for 29 hours 30 minutes and 17 seconds! Let's just say, Madonna's full catalogue of work was explored. Hans' attempt to break the record and grab Madonna's attention even made it as a story on to Today Tonight.
Nova 919 know that Madonna is an outrageously busy woman, but they are doing everything they can to make her aware of this story in the hopes of an acknowledgement from her - even just a sentence - it would answer Hans' (and everyone at Nova 919) prayers!

Madonna on Washington D.C Radio

Madonna called into Washington D.C.'s WPGC 95.5 R&B/Hip-Hop radio station this morning just after 8:00am in a 10-minute interview with Donnie Simpson during his morning show to discuss the new album Hard Candy, her children, and her work with Malawi.
Madonna, who interviewed as she ate lunch in London, was not shy as she talked during some portions with a mouth full of food. She was very vibrant as she discussed her discontent with the media continuously calling every album effort as another 're-invention' when, as she put it, 'I'm just doing me.'
Madonna also gave praise to Timbaland and Pharrell on their work with the new album, and how she knew that 4 Minutes was going to be an instant hit, although Miles Away was the first collaboration she did, and how she hoped that it would also be a future single.
On Lourdes, she described her as being '11 going on 19' and that she's 'finally discovered boys.' When asked if she planned on touring, Madonna confirmed 'late summer' and joked, 'I guess that means we should start rehearsing now?' and made mention of her thoughts on how she will top herself with the next tour.

Madonna plans to save Britney and tour this fall

Madonna wants the media to leave Britney Spears alone.
'They need to step off,' she told the 'Yo on E!' satellite radio show. 'For real....Let's go save her.'
Madonna, 49, said her daughter, Lourdes, 11, feels the same way.
'She knows Britney, (but) she doesn't really watch TV or read gossip stuff,' the pop star said in the interview. 'I think she sort of gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she feels very protective of Britney.'
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have a son, Rocco, 7, and are raising a Malawian boy they want to adopt.
'He's the life of the party,' she said of David, who she brought home from Africa in 2006. 'He loves music, he's an amazing dancer....He's a character.'
She said caring for David is no different from her raising her biological children: 'I thought it was gonna be, but it feels the same to tell you the truth.'
As for speculation that her marriage is on the rocks, Madonna said: 'It is ridiculous....I don't pay much attention to it.'
The singer's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg recently dismissed media reports that the Ritchies have split up, saying they 'remain happily married.' Rosenberg said that Madonna and filmmaker Ritchie, 39, were 'joyfully back together at home in London' after living in separate countries for work purposes.
Madonna, whose new album 'Hard Candy' arrives April 29, told 'Yo on E!' that she plans to spend the summer in New York, and that she might kick off a tour this fall.

She may be heading out on tour in the fall – but don't expect to hear Madonna sing some of her biggest hits ever again.
'I'm not sure I can sing 'Holiday' or 'Like A Virgin' ever again,' the singer tells New York's Z100-FM in an interview scheduled to air Friday. 'I just can't – unless somebody paid me like $30 million or something. [Like if] some Russian guy wants me to come to the wedding he's going to have to a 17-year-old, you know it.'
As she prepares to release her latest album, Hard Candy, on April 29, Madonna also opens up about the music business ('Playing live is not something that people focus on very much,' she says) and why she gave Justin Timberlake that now-infamous B-12 shot in the rear end.

On Justin and the Shot:
'First of all, I've seen enough butt....The reason I gave him a B-12 [shot] is because we only had a certain amount of days in the studio and I didn't want him to use that as a lame-ass excuse not to come to work. Okay? It's got nothing to do with butt. I promise you. Listen, I don't need to give him a shot to see his butt. Duh.'
On Britney Spears's New Record:
'I actually love Britney Spears's new album....I usually work out to her record. I do a combination of pilates and dance aerobics.'
On Her Chances If She Were On American Idol:
'I went to a lot of auditions for musical theater and conventional mainstream things - and I always got cut immediately. So I'm pretty sure the same thing would happen to me.'
