Like a Prayer is a Detroit Madonna Masterpiece! Highlights are the #1 hit title cut, Express Yourself, Promise to Try, Cherish, Oh Father and Evita Prelude Spanish Eyes-that song is so sad! Brilliant job Madonna!

@Leon181 - yes! I always thought it sounded a little like "When Doves Cry", and this maybe explains why!

me too!!! he absolutely bought out the best in Madonna lyrically & musically!! I really wish she'd stop all these collaborations & working with naff but 'in' people ;( she's sooooo much better than that--ive been a M fan from day one--more than 30 years--but she's becoming like an embarrassing aunt now-it makes me so sad.xxx

Me too Jeffrey!

Couldn't agree more with you Jeffrey; Leonard was always Madonna's greatest producer and together they created some of her most iconic and timeless songs that will ultimately, in time, define her legacy. I'd love to see her working with him - and Nile Rogers - again.

Interesting that Prince is playing the guitar riff at the beginning of Like A Prayer before the door slams

I'm sure Madonna would work with these guys again. I think her focus TODAY is more with up to date sounds for a possible top 40 up to top 10 hit and that's ok. They way it is today it makes sense, however it would be nice to see what more magic they would create gain..

jeffrey

oh how I wish they would work together again for another entire album.
