Forget Gossip Girls, Madonna has traded in Taylor Momsen for a new model to front her Material Girl clothing line - Kelly Osbourne:
Ms O has signed up to front the superstar singer's collection, which she designs alongside 14-year-old daughter Lourdes. It is expected that Kelly will star in ads for the brand and take part in promotional events.
A statement confirmed the news this week: 'Material Girl is thrilled to confirm that Kelly Osbourne is the new face for 2011! We will be sharing all the details on this exciting new campaign in the upcoming weeks.'
Momsen was the label's first spokesperson, launching the collection alongside the mother-daughter design pair at Macy's last year.
The move is another blow for the 17-year-old Gossip Girl, who was reportedly suspended from the hit show due to a run of bad behaviour. Her character, Jenny Humphrey, has been relegated from a series regular, appearing only occasionally during the current run.

Taylor Momsen & her band The Pretty Reckless have been on tour (Europe & Japan) for the last 7 months. This is why she's had limited appearances on season 4 of Gossip Girl. Taylor made arrangements with the writers & producers of the show during season 3. Hence, the last season's storyline where Jenny Humphrey slowly destroys all of her relationships. This comes to a climax in the finale where she looses her virginity to Chuck Bass resulting in her being sent to live with her mother for season 4. Taylor and her band are now beginning the US leg of the tour wrapping up by summer and in time for her full-time return for season 5. Contrary to rumors, she does not behave like Lilo on set and in fact has a great re-pore with the cast. Regarding Material Girk, she & Madonna ended their contract amicably. Last year when signing w/Macy's & Madonna, Taylor also signed on as the face for John Galliano's perfume. Last December Taylor took an inventory of her modeling, singing and acting assigments and realized she was doing too much. Hence the split. Remember she's only 17. If you want to pick on someone, why not someone who is not talented and doesn't work their ass off, ok? Like the Kardashians.

I think Kelly has a good look but I also think she is too old for this clothing line. Also, she has a bit of a potty mouth, which I can't see as being positive for the Material Girl image.
